Posted by

The version 1.3.1 update for Once Human brings a host of optimizations, new events, and some unique additions to enhance gameplay. Whether you're here for smoother server performance, better gameplay in Prismverse's Clash, or new items in the shop, this is the first major update since the release of The Way of Winter. Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know about the latest changes.

Server Optimizations

The development team has focused on improving server performance, particularly in situations where large numbers of players gather in the same area (such as Chaosweavers or Manibus). By reducing latency, these adjustments make crowded encounters smoother and more enjoyable. The team have also announced that a new network protocol is being piloted in certain regions, aiming to further enhance latency on select servers. If successful, this new protocol could roll out globally in future updates.

Prismverse's Clash Optimizations

Following player feedback, the devs have made significant changes to the Prismverse's Clash Scenario. Here's what's new:

Public Crisis Events Tweaks: The Dig to Hell public event has been removed from Phase 1, while Sproutlet Conquest now joins Phase 1 for a fresh lineup.

Prism Deviation Drops: Spawn times for Prism Deviations have shifted from 18:00 to 20:00 server time, with an increased spawn count of 100. Players now have more ways to gather Prism Deviations, like looting Weapon and Gear Crates or gathering plants in contest areas.

Boss Spawn Frequency: The Berserkosaurus Rex and Radiant One will now spawn once every 24 hours, offering a consistent but less frequent encounter.

Equal Rewards for Tied Scores: Players with the same score in Prismverse's Clash will now all receive the highest tier of rewards they qualify for.

These changes are designed to make Prismverse more balanced, rewarding, and enjoyable. The team have advised players to expect further optimizations in the next update, which is scheduled for 21st November 2024.

New Livestock Animals

Something that we think a lot of players have been waiting for - a range of new animals can now be tamed as livestock, adding a bit more variety. The following animals are now available for taming:

  • Wild Buffalo
  • Polar Bear
  • Snow Fox
  • Fox
  • Snapping Turtle
  • Sea Turtle

Randomized pattern options for these new livestock animals will be introduced in a future update, allowing for unique appearances and further customization.

New Feature - Season Calender

The update introduces a new Season Calendar feature, which provides a clear view of the game's schedule. Now, players can keep track of upcoming events, scenario openings, and game updates.

The calendar also allows for notification subscriptions to stay up-to-date on the latest news.
